Interactivism: Young People's Hack Weekend
Google's Interactivism: Young People's Hack Weekend is taking place on Friday 17th (9.30am until late) and Saturday 18th February 2012 (9.30am until 5pm), in Ravensbourne, London (next to North Greenwich underground station and the o2 Arena). For a map of how to find the building, please see here.
If you're one of the lucky people who has nabbed an Interactivism ticket, we're looking forward to meeting you. You will be joining one of ten teams to work on some great ideas designed to help young people find the education, employment or training that is right for them (see the ten shortlisted ideas here). We will be asking a lot from you over the two days, but we guarantee that it will be worth it, and are pretty sure that you will have a lot of fun in the process!
Please select the ticket that is the best fit for you (ask us if you are not sure). Please choose only one ticket per person. The "Young People" tickets are for young people who have experience of being not in education, employment or training, so they can share this experience with the teams who are building the ideas.
Tickets are free, but numbers are very limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you end up not being able to make it, we would really love it if you would cancel your place, so we can give it to someone on the waiting list.
We will be providing meals throughout the event, so please let us know if you have any special dietary needs and we will do our best to cater for you. Vegetarians will be provided for. Please also let us know if you have any access needs.
We are sorry, but under 16s cannot attend, this is because of the insurance policy that Ravensbourne has in place.
If the category you would fit into is "sold out" please contact us and we will place you on a waiting list for a ticket. We are organising it this way to try to get a good spread of skills across the teams. If you can't get a place, you may still be able to help with one of the 81 ideas that were submitted to the competition on Simpl - please check them out here and see if anyone needs a skill that you are offering. Software developers are in particularly high demand!
